Quote of the day.

Pounding hooves, tossing mane,Take me swiftly on my life's journey.Loyal friend, carry me to a place of safety.Lift me over the obstacles of my path

It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.

"A horse is 'disobedient' in exact proportion to how difficult he finds the task. The trainer's problem is not how to punish the 'disobedience' but to discover *why* the horse finds the task difficult!" --William Hillebrand

Conditioning

Hi there,
well Unique and I are on a new program now and it is to get us both in shape. I live on my exercise ball when I am at home and his work load is slowly increasing. It is so important to do these things slowly.I have also adjusted his feeding as well with more work comes more nutritional requirements. We are up to a steady forty five minutes of work now. He is getting fitter everyday and so much more supple.
Great tools are poles and pylons. Loads of weaving through the pylons and trotting over the poles. It seem very basic but is does wonders. I live where weather is a major factor so I am forced indoors most of the winter.Any nice day I try and get outside. A nice quiet trail ride even at the walk does us both a world of good.
